Wink Rubber weight belts
Hi All,

following a link on YD to Scuba store I was very pleased to find these belts with the marsallaise buckles for £16 + £7 p&p from Girona I found the belt fantastic for anorexically challenged people like myself

I have now found the same belt for sale in Decathlon for £9.60 so if your thinking of getting one grab 'em before they realise their mistake.

They are great. They're designed for spearfishing and freediving, the rubber shrinks with increasing depth so you don't get a loose belt when everything else compresses.

At that price I think I may be headed to Decathlon tonight. Cheers for the pointer

They are pretty solid, I don't think there is any danger of one breaking.

Does anyone know why these went out of fashion?

Had some bloke in the dive shop a while ago who couldn't find one anywhere.

The buckles aren't quick release are they? Probably a bonus for some of us.

Hi John,

being rubber its easy to pull it to manually release but hard [I assume] to do by accident I imagine they went out of fashion when the quick release buckles came in.
