In that case if the dry weights the same I'd definitely go for the Tek as it has greater flexibility than just a 'holiday' wing.

which size buddy travel wing do you use 13 or 16 kg lift?

I've used the 13kg model - but not the larger one - do you use with twins ever, say 10's (with twinning blocks)

Just wanted to know, if it's really appropriate to use with 35lbs of lift [quote vid]

Vid,

Last summer I was out in Menorca and we did a few gas dives on the Georgia K (96m). I was using a Diverite tekwing and OMS back plate. My buddy Ian had a Buddy Travel Wing (not sure which model) and completed the dive with twin 12li back mounted cylinders and two 10li sidemounts. We were both wearing full wetsuits as well so no buoyancy help from a drysuit. After seeing the lightweight wing perform I decided I'd be getting one for my next foreign trip. I suppose it's all about how good your buoyancy control and trim is really.

with that number of cylinders, i'd be surprised if it wasn't the tekwing instead (as Matt has)

ahhh, now i'd agree with you - except I've already got a wing - plus s/s BP and a separate OMS IQ pack - so flexibility up to 50 lb lift isn't an issue

I'm just trying to decide which "small" wing to use - either single cylinder (holidays, training or shallow UK bimbles) or small twins (with no stages) - that means I only need max of say 36lbs lift

I've been playing with the OMS, diverite, etc etc which are all around 28 to 32lbs lift - they all work really well with singles (and pony) - but they're just that little too small for the twins.... guess i'll just have to keep searching and playing with kit
