Aaahh... new boat ordered!

Sorry for the brag but I just have to let it out.

Having gotten rid of our old 17 footer which really wasn't suitable for our needs we've been discussing back and forth where to go when it comes to getting a new boat. We wanted a boat that was practical when diving, when fishing, and that was reasonably fast. Though not too heavy since it should be movable on a trailer.
That also meant not too big engine. So the requirements were:
- Max Nok 150K (about £12.000)
- Practical when diving. Either proper ladder or step at the back for ease when getting in and out
- 50-60hp 4-stroke engine
- Windscreen covering two people (read three, with Frid jammed in between.
- Trailer with brakes for long haul.

We were really going for a used one but then we realised that we could get a brand spanking new boat in Sweden for the same price as a 1-2 year old boat of the same callibre here in Norway.
So we've ordered one!

Finnmaster 4900 CLX with a Yamaha 50hp fourstroke will hopefully satisfy our needs for an allround boat, seating the three of us comfortably in the back on fishing trips while I guess about 3 on divetrips will be max. Apparently the boat will do about 28-30kt with two on board and that suits me fine.

I'll be picking it up around the 20th... stand by for proper pics.

Kyrre Happy Camper.
