| Can't remember where my current set of snips came from. I replaced the rivet with a brass nut and bolt the last time it rusted through. |

to cut larger items like thick rope - open the snips up and use the serrated edge like a knife - i did this a few months back on our rhib - someone was faffin with a knife for ages, my snips sawed through it in seconds! i'm getting a batch for our club with a quality sheath with belt loop and the snips soon - will post once i have them and the final price... |

| Just bought a pair of "Tuff snips" from Maplin for £4. Seem to cut through most things ive tested them on. Theyre bigger than i thought. Will need to find some way of stowing them now though. Possibly in my wing pocket or drysuit. Making a pouch for them looks like too much effort. |

| I have mine in a pouch but also they are attached via bungee in case I drop them. If I need to I will cut the bungee so I can get at whatever I want to cut, but at least they will be in the pouch when I need them, until after I cut the bungee anyway M |
