| They do the same job as the PADI RDP and can help working out dive profiles etc. They are NOT waterproof so keep a normal RDP in your BCD pocket. |

| Hi, PADI ERDP is a great device for instructing those out of practice or not confident in using recreational dive tables. I used this to great effect with my mother who was finding the tables difficult to use. We both would plot the same dive, one using the table the other using the erdp and would reveal our results. It was able to highlight specific areas of confusion on repetitve dives. This is a great tool to use early on in your diving, use it in conjuction with your tables to help improve your understanding of the methodoloogy behind dive planning. |

| But it didn't let me plan a 75m air dive for a 35 minute bottom time I think it told me to refer to a rule of some sort (Rule 6 for PADI maybe

| erdp yes thanks for the answers but is this just a padi thing or is is there a bsac one as they use differant tables even though the results are the same 20m is 20m padi or bsac or anyother org`s i just feel these can go wrong as one of you said you worked out a dive on tables and the other on the erdp so what were the results? so the thing is not water proof but i don`t take my 88 tales with me i check the wright it on a slate if need be but i tend to use the computer ( still wrong ) i feel that people are relying on tecnolagy to much (excuse the bad spelling) recipy for disaster may be who know`s but with diveing a growing sport people are getting lazy and thats when things go wrong thanks for reading the moan but opinions are lke assholes every one has one thanks........ ![]() |

the definitions of dive time are also different which will have an impact on the tables calculations, plus if BSAC tables had all the pressure groups that PADI did the book would need to be bigger Oh and BSAC do not do one AFAIK

| Nope there isnt an electronic BSAC version. The nearest they have is a slidey-card thing. I dont think there's a need for it really with the BSAC 88s. Not seen a padi chart but have heard of people who have done courses in particular the wheel that sometimes 2 people get slightly different answers due to printing/alignment etc. I tend to normally look at a plan on tables, dive my computer (oh no...) but have the waterproof conduct slate with L1 tables in my pocket as bailout. Before the abuse flies please note this is for <30m dives with little deco |

| The eRDP does not do the same job as the PADI wheel and I feel is just a ploy to get students to Put Another Dollar In. I have yet to teach a student who couldn't get the hang of the tables and that includes a number of 10 and 11 year olds. Apparantly a wheel version and nitrox versions are to appear in the future.

| eRDP They aren't waterproof ! that should tell you all you need to know |
| ||||
| I tried one out while the OW course I was helping out with did the RDP classroom session. I found it was quicker to use the table initially but I think once used to the eRDP it will be a little quicker and easier to use. Jim
