5mm Gloves

Looking at a second pair of 5mm Gloves for the winter. I've had advice that the Seeman Sub 5mm gloves are pretty good. Not sure about the 3 finger mitts, how are they for use with spools?

Any suggestions?

Cheers,

ian

I had some Poseidon three finger mitts and got rid of them. I dont think my hands are especially small, but i just couldnt get any small enough to fit me. This meant that my manual dexterity was equivalent to that of a drunken octopus and i couldnt unclip anything in them. I think if you get a pair which fit properly then you should be fine with spools. The only bugger is trying to signal times to your team

3-finger mitts work fine but Poseidon's are not the best, in my opinion.

Yer gurt jessie Ian! Shouldn't need more than 3mm, unless you're planning on ice diving.

I have some Scubapro 5mm gloves that worked very well for me last winter doing 90 min run times in March, water was at about 7 Deg. I was still able to do all the shutdowns, stage clipping and DSMB deployment stuff (i was on an ERD Course) with no real problems.
