it will tend to fill one and a half times, so that on the second dive you look like a real div as your very flacid blob hits the surface.

yep refil exactly like the buddy commando bottles, with purge button and everything.. Din or a-clamp fitting

If ya fire and forget.... then the cylinder will be near enough empty when you surface.... so rather than limp and flaccid, try ....nothing happening (BTW you can still fill by traditional methods so don't get you're nicks twisted)...... I try to fill it again between dives, just in case!

LOL, Paul

Fingers crossed, never had mine go off unless I wanted it to.
Clamp (assuming A clamp sort) to a big bottle (10/12l - full) open smb bottle valve slowly, open big bottle valve very slowly. Wait a while, listen to hear if gas transfer has ceased. If it has, close both valves. Whack spring loaded relief valve to reduce pressure in the joint between two bottles, DONT put your fingers under the outlet, VERY BAD things can happen If yopu dont do this the little bottle wont come off the big bottle, remove little bottle, clamp bottle to smb, boltsnap smb to reel and assemble. Job done. Do this before every dive then you wont forget, fingers crossed again.

Matt

But, for those of us that try to avoid having anything hanging (relatively) lose, it can be an issue.

I have mine connected, ready to go, to a large McMahon reel and it all fits in one pocket in a Commando

Yup, these old fashioned BCD's do have their advantages! That's where mine goes too.
