| prescriotion lens question My problem is that I am a bit shortsighted, and although I haven't worn lenses in my mask up to now, I think my diving would be more fun if I could see further, more clearly. However I can't read AT ALL with my glasses on, and I could not see gauges, computer, etc with lenses in, so I haven't done it. Is there any way of having a mix: lenses at the top and plain glass at the bottom so I can see all the important things? And where would I go to get it done? Hope this isn't a silly question!! EDIT: I see that I cannot even spell prescription correctly in the title *blush* |

| not the safest thing or not sure if it works, but I have seen someone glue/attach a standard len onto part of his mask on the inside. I think it was an uncut len as well as it was fairly big in size. |

| Try Go-Dive in their mask section. I notice they do stick on prescription lenses at a very cheap price. www.go-dive.co.uk steve

| off the shelf lenses may be difficult to trim to keep the bottom of the mask clear for guage reading, and they usually only come in 0.5 increments of dioptres (power). if you have a complex prescription then you'd be better getting prescription lenses made up and professionally fitted. I'm just on the way to my LDS to discuss this for my better half, and will find out where they send the mask for the lenses to be fitted. |

I had exactly the same problem. Although I started with a complete prescription lense in my mask, after some time i began to get a problem reading my computer, my eyes would not adjust enough so i just have a lense in the top half. This is just a stuck on one (so its just clear glass at the bottom) but the my LDS sent it away to be done. Was such a relief to be able to read my computer! |
