Yes it works well it has a larger hole than Delrin ones as Delrin usually only comes in 3 inch sizes.

I got it direct from Tobin who owns Deep Sea Supply.

The DIRzone spools have a larger hole than the halcyons and some others I've seen. Really nice pieces of kit and at a very good price from our resident knackers kitwhore.

As for deploying, I did a big write up and Andy Carrol put a great vid link on the following thread,

Probably a bit late, since Nuno and I have had an email convo since this but we have the Deep Sea Supply spools avaliable if anyone would like them.

Mail for details 'cos I'm lazy and haven't got them up on the site yet, but essentially as usual take the dollar price add the duty and VAT and there you go.

They are sat in East Mids airport as I type, cant remember which sizes 'cos it's late and lady Krononbourg may have taken toll on my weak dishevelled body. But whatever peeps want can be here in 48 hours.

Just to give the much maligned Mr Salvo his due, the spools are his not DZ.

But as Pete rightly points out, available at the Knackers Yard, complete with bigger hole than anyone else just as you would expect from such a consummate bunch of whores as ourselves. And to boot at least 25% cheaper than the rest !

Whoring over , my hackney carriage is waiting and I still have to find my overcoat and muffler I do believe.

Waiter !

Despite the obvious excessive whoring that seems to have rubbed off onto one of my young padowans...

Can i just point out that the classic way of deploying a spool by gripping slighty with 1st and 3rd/4th finger, with the hand on top, does not work so well if wearing a glove that has the carbonoflex, k-grip, kevlar or one of the many other names for extra strong grip abrasive stuff. Basically the grip makes it harder for the spool to spin freely, and then it stops and pulls. If wearing these "grip" gloves you need to have an underhanded hold, or make an ok above the spool with the palm facing up. If not sometimes the spool stops and tries to drag you up.

Just a tip

Bri
