I was looking for one for quite a few weeks...I tried UE and nackers amougst others but all out of stock.... I was lucky enough to get first dibs on Rich Clark's which he sold recently....Phew.

I get to try it this weekend so if it does not sort my problems it may be up for sale again soon

Is it just tail weights that are hard to source?

(I fancy some V weights at some point.)

I'm going to have a go and make a 2KG tailweight this weekend. Assuming I'm still alive on Sunday I'll post some instructions.

The general plan is to melt/bolt together 2 X 1KG v Weights and then melt/bolt a piece of stainless to the back of it to allow attachment to the lower bolt of the twinset. However, many such a plan of mine has ended up resulting in my back lawn looking like a saturn5 has taken off from it, so we shall see.

Lumb Bros do ready made loose v-weights...I think most LDS's buy their weight from Lumb Bros so could probably get them for you.
A 2kg and 1kg sit between 11" bands....the 2kg one, on its own, stops moving about if you fit straps for an Argon tank
Lumb Bros website has more detail...

Got the same pic as in page 1 of this thread - they allegedly sell them.

"The tail weight is designed to get your in-water trim just right. The weight sits over your tank band and bolt stopping it from "rattling around" and it's moulded to fit perfectly around your cylinders. The tail weight comes in 2.5Kg.
Price: £10.00 "

Or, get a bit of roofing lead and roll it up into the right shape - maybe not very professional that.

Can Woz not turn his hand to that sort of thing? He's into a bit of heavy kit he is. Could probably even make it smooth and shiney too.
