thanks Milldog, but I was after a tail weight, not a P or V weight.

for clarity of my needs.. :

V weight goes in between backplate and cylinders in the groove - not required.
P weight goes in the groove in the backplate between the backplate and your back - not required.
Tail weight - fits in between the backplate and the cylinders, but hands off the lower of the two bolts - so below the lower band.

forgive the explanation to those who know what I mean (and Milldog I incude you here)

so it looks like I will either have to wait for an Agir one, or go find Mal Bridgeman and "pay 'im a visit"..

I understand you now Wilbo regarding the fitting of a tailweight.

I thought it was a small V-weight that sits below the bottom band but couldnt work out how to attach it if you didnt have boots. If it hangs off the bottom of the BP, then Narkedat60 do them, as do Bowstone, taking upto 2kg each pocket (http://www.narkedat60.com/store/item...?id=22-36-252). You might be able to get Mark Powell to get some Nat60 specially for you as they are not on his website.
