Valve Placement

Hi,

Just wanted to find out if anyone had any recommendations on where one would have fitted the:

1. Inflator Valve - centre or centre right or left on chest.
2. Dump Valve - left arm cuff or right arm cuff or left arm shoulder.

Any preference in makes? Apeks or SI Tech? Recommendations!

Thanks.

Personal preference
1. centre (if you change to twinsets etc later a standard hose will be able to reach from whichever side you route it)
2. If it's a cuff dump - left cuff, so when you raise your arm to dump air from the bcd, you also dump the suit.
If it's an auto dump then it needs to be on the shoulder, again on the left side for the same reason.
HTH
[edit] sorry i missed the brand question. I had a SI tec inlet on my old suit and i liked the hose thingy at the end which has sticky out bits to ease removal (rather than the standard metal slide thingy which is hard to grip with cold/gloved fingers)
but the nipple on it was a bit smal so letting air in was a slower process. I now have an apeks inlet and it allows air in at a much faster rate. Also i went for the new-new low profile apeks auto-dump and it certainly dumps! I like that, but a friend who was used to the older-new low profile hates it, he reckoned it dumps too much too fast.
the choice is yours
