Thin Rubber or Neo socks

When we dive abroad my good lady uses a full foot fin. After a few days of diving she ends up with blisters and sores on her toes. Is there any form of thin sock that she could wear to stop this happening.

Cheers

Stu

The better solution would be to go with neoprene boots and an open heel fin.

however - taking a couple of pairs of good cotton socks along on holiday and wearing a pair inside the fin will help stop the rubbing.

go to a sports shop and ask for 1000 miles soxs, these are double layered soxs and are thin as well. the idea is the outside part moves against the inside sox removing the friction from the skin, and this helps to prevent blisters. if you can't find them in your local sports shop get a copy of runner mag and they will be in it somewhere.

Thin neoprene socks are available. I don't remember seeing them in the UK, but they're common enough here. Decathlon sell them for about 10 Euro IIRC.

I'd agree with all the above posts - a pair of ordinary socks inside either boots or the full foot will work

And Decathlon stock neo socks in their UK branches (I have a pair for my full foot fins) and they do thin and thick ones, cheap as well

Decathlon sell the thin neo socks. I use them under my drysuit boots. Toasty!
