Question Nipples ?

Hi,
I was just about to order a swival inflator for my dry suit as the fixed one is a bit of a pain!
I got asked what nipple did i want Standard or Commercial ?
The fixed one currently on my suit is an apeks but i don't know what nipple that is?
What is the difference and which one should i go for?
Thanks
Ian

While you are changing have a look at your wing/ Bc inflator hose and get two the same. Ask to have a look at them I think one has a ridge across it and these can break in cold water, Though I have never had it myself I know a few that have and that prompted me to change but hases that can be swapped over is far better.

Erm, one drawback with that - the abbreviation is 'CLITORIS'."

I have the big fat one (the commercial one) on my suit and wing.

The main pro is that you don't need to pull the collar when fitting- just shove. And removal is really really easy- a 1 finger job. Cons- you need to change your wing nipple. Plus the flow is high so you have to remember not to shove the buttons down all teh way in case it sticks. Then again disconnection is much faster so maybe it's not so bad.

I would like to make my travel wing inflator and drysuit infaltor inter-changeable. As i'm not talking about a massive wing and i don't do any diving currently below 30m to 35MAX!
Is it worth going for the high flow comercial type or would that be a bit of overkill?
Ian
