| Travel Kit I am looking into buying some new kit with backpacking in mind. I am looking for the lightest of everything, but also stuff that won't fall to pieces. I have a Buddy travel wing at the moment but am looking for a jacket BCD. The Cressi aqualight looks ok. Any views? Also regs and fins. Any ideas? |

| Hiya mate. I'm also considering backpacking and diving and as I am newly qualified am currently looking at available kit. So far I have spotted the Aualight, the diver mag review was good and they had one in my shop so it as an opportunity to actually play with one. I've also looked at the Cressi Ellipse Titanium Regs. I know this may be overkill for a newbie but you can buy additional antifreee kit for the first stage and they will be lighter which will help while travelling. Oh, whether this matters or not I don't know but Titanium has a higher thermal conductivity rate than steel, ergo: inbuilt heat sink. Hope that helps mate. |
