Collapsable reel handle

Ok, so I use MGE reels as I think they are nice na big and bulletproof. Problem is, like most reels for obvious reasons, they have stumpy handles. I know why, but I have always wanted to find a way of having a longer handle for winding in a dmsb easier.

A thought; does anyoe do a collapsable handle? Or a folding one? If not, why not? You would have it folded away till you need it - unfold it for thre "great wind up" and then fold iot away again so you don't snag it.

Any thoughts?

The Narked at 60 reel has an extendible spring loaded handle. Not folding, though.

The handle on the Scubapro reel folds away. It's a bit of a 'marmite' reel though and must be held in the right hand during use. I quite like it, but others I know can't use it.

We at Kent Tooling are in the process of manufacturing folding handle to go on to our new reel that will be ready in a few months after some testing which is beeing done at the pressent time.

Since I started the thread and according to many a LDS, can pretty much break or bend most things described as "unbreakable" - surely I should be on the list of (cough) testers?
