Boat Bags

Hello

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good boat bag. I have one of those stretchy onion sacks but it is not big enough to get fins torch etc etc in. Any ideas?

Thanks

I use a Beaver Fin Bag, had it years still going strong. zip around the top, 2 pockets in the front. Big enough for fins, mask, torch, hood, gloves, computer just about anything I want to take on the boat.

If you mean a 'wet' bag, I often use a big white mesh goody bag I bought some years ago from Deep Blue. It's really a laundry bag and would have cost about one-third of the price if I'd bought it as such, but as it only cost about four quid I'm not that bothered They do black ones now - on offer at £4.95

I use my O'Three drysuit bag as a dry bag and put my drysuit into an Ortleib waterproof duffle bag as it stops it getting the car wet on the way home.

Never used a boat bag and never needed one.
Torch clips to harness/BCD, as does reel.
Weight belt on floor in front of rig.
Mask in one fin foot pocket.
Hood and gloves rolled up in the other fin foot pocket.
Knife, compass and computers strapped to me.
Goodie bag on bungee, slate/pencil & wheel/tables (all clipped together), DSMB in pocket on left thigh.

A plce for everything and everything in it's place. A set routine for kitting and de-kitting. Efficient, methodical and deliberate.

On a RIB, under the seat so it doesn't get wet.

On Hard Boats I use a crate and for my Masik Fins gloves etc I use an old post bag! can also be used when on a scallop dive so it has a double use

Well apart from diving obviously, chocolate which is edible underwater would make my day

Note to self - must go diving with Gary - Al seems to have replaced mini choclate rolls in favour of ginger biscuits - which are better for his seasickness but not so good for the chocoholics amongst us
