| OK, they're in Holland, but assuming: 1. Its not an ebay rip-off 2. They're not rebuilds/2nds What are your opinions of: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SeaDoo-Seascooter-Explorer-DPV_W0QQitemZ7234273130QQcategoryZ19303QQrdZ1QQcmd ZViewItem Says it has: 1. Depth rating of 50m 2. Run time of up to 2hrs 3. 3 speeds, up to 3.3mph |

| I have seen them been used but I think for the money you could get something much better secondhand. I have heard of the smaller Aquazepps going for as little as £700 like new.

| What do you mean by "better"? |

| Myself and Chas49 were talking to a diver at Stoney yesterday who had a SeaDoo unit, he only paid 200 pounds for his new, although I seem to recall that he said the shop price was about 300-325. So I would check prices before diving into that Ebay auction. It could be a different model of SeaDoo, but it looked exactly the same apart from colours.

| Yes, seen the ads for the cheaper ones - they're 25/30m units. This new model is rate to 50m A few shops seem to have them (at around £550 plus delivery) So, was wondering: 1. whether anyone had seen / tried one 2. Assuming recreational diving (lets say < 50m), what the benefits would be of going for a Torpedo or an Apollo? |

| Nick. Dont know if this is any use but i did a search for dvps a few weeks ago and found this. http://store.agm-tec.com/seascooter-200-p-29.html They have the 30m one listed at 189 euros which seems bloody cheap It might be worth giving them a call and seeng if they can supply the 50m version Just an idea Steve |

| Wow..........must get a container full! Dragon Mart in Dubai is a very large mall full of Chinese shops. There you can pick up an un-badged one of those scooters for £50. They have the 50m version as well. Might be worth a play with at that price then.

The Appolo is far more powerful than the Seadoo I have, and can pull two divers happily. The position of the handles is far from ideal on the Sea-doo, it is hard to drive it one handed compared to the Appolo or more serious scooters.
