I had considered that and concluded that they gloves would need to be pre-attached and I wondered how I'll do anything with my hands then. Another thing to try.

It does, of course, mean that if the glove should become split or torn the water's straight into the suit. Also, don't you end up with a lot of air in the gloves on ascent?

Yep lose the wrist seal attach gloves in place of .best to get someone to help .put suit on ,put glove on ,get assistant to fit glove otherwise you can get it out of line to the sleeve of your drysuit resolting in a twist to the sleeve or your hand
Yes if split get wet in big hurry
if gloves balloon lower glove for a moment to allow air up to shoulder dump .if you fly the suit and never the wing /Bcd then you dont even need to raise the inflator anyway .
