Cylinder pressure guages.

There used to be loads of these going on Ebay but I haven't seen one for months!

Anyhoo, would one of you clever types please advise if all CPGs do 300 bar or are they either 232bar or 300 bar.

Any recommendations on a good (cheap ) place to buy one form.



I have just noticed that "cheap" is becoming a much used word in my life ....... is it because I'm getting older that I'm becoming more frugal or just because I'm fed up of being in debt?

Mostly they are about 400 bar. Decathlon do cheap ones here so I guess there too... (about Euro 45 IIRC)

Do you mean ones for checking a cylinder without attaching your regs?

Nackers does them for £38 (300bar) or £39 (400bar)

That's the sort of thing. Are these little guages accurate enough to use for nitrox blending? We use the "add X bar of O2 and top off with air" method.

do we need one for nitrox when we have a gauge in line from the O2 ? & a gauge on the compressor ?

Erm ............. well, I can't remember the sequence of connections and opening of valves as it has been so long since I actually did my one and only fill .............

Also, would it be useful to have another guage for checking cylinder contents before the cylinders are connected up ...........

TBH, I was thinking of having for my own use, in which case, I won't need a super accurate guage ............. I just wanted to know the degree of accuracy with the pictured guage how much extra the accurate version would be .....

If SWMBO finds out the only gauge you'll need is to measure the depth of the brown stuff ,but of course she doesn't look at your posts so who would tell her ?
ps if you find a cheap digital one I want one
