| I bought a roll of 6mm Polyprop from Ropes & Twines with a view to using it for stage rigs, but it's not really suitable for that (twisted not braided). I'm now thinking of getting some plaited braid polyprop from here, or maybe that Poppa Smurf guy Woz keeps mentioning.

| For Trapeze use, I found something thicker and nicer to hold onto was better than polyprop. If the trapeze get's busy people tend to spread out and may be holding onto the line. Also, it want's to be thick enough for a garvin hook to grip onto nicely. Juz

| We use thicker stuff for shotlines, about 16mm, but that's probably too bulky. A good source of rope can be local climbing clubs. They sometimes have old rope which has taken a fall and is not safe for climbing use, and you can pick some up quite cheaply. Janos
