| A few years ago, I succumbed to pressure and had a go at skiing. To cut a long story short, I ended up flat on my face in the snow with my leg bending in the wrong direction. Although the damage is permanent (I have no ACL), I generally don't have trouble with it except that finning was difficult in the fins I had (Mares Avanti) and a friend suggested Force Fins. I borrowed hers for a few dives and found them absolutely brilliant. I have had a pair of Delta Force Fins now for 3 years and find them brilliant. Easy to put on and get off.... with the bungee strap I can manage easy enough one handed. Once in the water, it hardly feels like you are wearing any fins at all. Aside from anything else, being red, mine always get noticed! ![]()

| I use the standard force fin pro's. they are lovely, easy to get on and off (XL's on size 8 boots), piece of piss climbing ladders and getting back on ribs. i think i frog kick but Mark Powell said that the power was on the reverse stroke or something, when i was on my adv nitrox course, but i go forward so who cares. But if you ever manage to fin backwards in them you have put them on your hands. I have thought about Jetfins to get rid of my ankle weights but what i have works so am staying put for the moment. |

| thanks guys, not sure about buying them off the internet as sizing is a bit of an issue with these from what I have read, does any one know where I can try some on in the southwest devon or dorset preferably. Thanks again Andy

| Hi I got some Force Fins from the Dive Show last year I am a size 10 (but dry suit boot is an 11 what with the weazle socks an all)and thought the XL would be the ones to go for but they had sold out so bought the XXL- Fitted a treat and as they push themselves on when using them they have no chance of coming off anyway! They are convertable to a wetsuit by insert of a comfort pad but I haven't tried that yet No effort to use and as they say you hadly feel them at all ! and when on the puff it does make me hard to catch. However criticism has been said of the manoveuring capability but I for one find them fine. Plus you can walk in them normally up ladders etc and they are nigh on indestructable -make sure you get the bungee one ! Too far away from you to lend but I borrowed some and thats what got me to buy them.So try before buy! Good luck db |

| I have had force fins for quite a while - on my first pair, the side split on one so I replaced them. The first pair had a nice strap of elastic to wrap round your ankle, but the newer pair had a bungee cord which I found uncomfortable so I took it off and made my own strap which is supported either side for wear with penny washers, and a lanyard to make sure if they do slip off, I do not loose them - I did post photos on another thread in here a while back, but here they are again:- ![]()

| I looked at force fins a while back and though I must be missing out as a number of folks I know reckoned they are the dogs dangle bits. Couldn't bring myself to pay silly money to buy some until I had tried a pair. Glad I did, never felt so out of control in the water and ended up clinging to the side of breakwater fort just trying to sort myself out .Saved myself over a hundred quid, but if I'd tried the longer ones I could have saved over 200

Earlier this year in Cyprus, a guy on our course had them and was having trouble frog kicking, so we swapped fins for a dive as I have turtles. Like Reiki, I could frog kick, but it did not feel as efficient. However, to the best of my knowledge, Steve, the owner with the force fins has not bought turtles.
