Full face masks

A question for all you clever people out there - if you are wearing a full face mask and integral DV, what would you do if the DV free flowed? or something like this. Obviously, you would then lose both your mask and your DV

Not that I have a full face mask or anything, but just wondered

Depends on the mask. Many masks have an integral valve which allows you to switch to a different air supply. Some masks have a shut off button which you depress to momentarily shut off the air supply (shutting it off then turning it on again usually cures a freeflow). Others have no gas management options.

Bottom line, if all else fails, you would remove the mask, switch to a regular second stage and put on a normal half mask which you would be carrying with you.
