| Depends on the mask. Many masks have an integral valve which allows you to switch to a different air supply. Some masks have a shut off button which you depress to momentarily shut off the air supply (shutting it off then turning it on again usually cures a freeflow). Others have no gas management options. Bottom line, if all else fails, you would remove the mask, switch to a regular second stage and put on a normal half mask which you would be carrying with you.
