I dived last week at Capers in membrane drysuit and as I forgot my wooley bear I made do, and was warm enought to stay down 35 minutes with thermal T shirt and thermal long johns.
Summer is on its way

When I switched from an Otter 200g undersuit to X arctics, I dropped 1kg. I find the thermal properties pretty much exactly the same. I wear an chillcheater base layer underneath in cold conditions (say sub 10c), as I did with the old padded undersuit. Been using it for over a year now and still happy with it.

Same here. And this is under a membrane. Two dives yesterday, in the sea (about 10 degrees ont eh south coast at the moment) using HH thermals and a set of Xerotherm Arctics. No worries. They are as warm as a 200g thinsulate, so if you dived one of those before then don't worry about the change - you will not feel colder.

Just make sure you tuck yourself in well sothat you don't seperate in the middle!

I've added a pair of braces to the legs on mine. Braces go under the top half, no tucking in required. Solves the 'chilly middle' entirely, and maintains freedom of movement.

I look like a twat when I'm kitting up, but that's nothing new!
