Several of the guys in my club use the ND ones as well. They're big lads and carry a lot of lead.

| Don't know how available they are, but some of the guys on the boat this week were using the DUI harness and they looked very good - probably at a huge premium though

| Tried weight pockets on the harness and it was pants. Sounds like a good idea until you have to drag the set for a fill and they flop about annoyingly. Went back to a seperate harness.

| I use a DUI harness it is the best bit of kit I have brought and have recomended it to sveral other people all have been delighted with it. Available from Stoney cove about £60-£70 |

| Have you considered a rubber weightbelt? available from http://www.dirdirect.com I am really pleased with mine. I never feel as if the belt is gonna slip.

| Another vote for the DUI harness. Made a big difference to my comfort on a dive. They will take up to 18kg IIRC. http://www.deepbluedive.com do them for about £60 |

| As previously mentioned, I have a Ralf Tech harness. Very very comfortable, as you can see from the width and contouring of the webbing around the waist and shoulders and very robust. Best thing I ever did, pretty well impossible to drop by accident when passing up to the boat too. Don't know about the Bowstone, never seen one but saw a DUI at the LDS and although very nice looking, I was put off by the expense (AU$275 here) and the fact that it needed special weights, as does (I think) the ND harness, whereas the Ralf Tech takes your old slotted belt weights no worries. I did like the ND in that it includes cargo pockets, or at least the ones in Aus do. The Ralfies are French made I know, but you can't have everything. Richard M. | I have used a DUI harness for two years. Never had to rip out the pockets in anger so I don't know how well it would release. The looped plastic line looks like it would release easily enough though. The 4 velcroed pouches each hold 2 standard lead 4lb weight snugly and the shoulder straps are wide enough that I do not feel any cut into my shoulders. Alex |
