I've always used a very simple no-valve DSMB which rolls up into a tube
about the size of a bog roll. That's lucky cause the gap in the big McMahon
between line and casing is exactly that size!

So I just stuff the blob in the McMahon and hang it on a waist D-ring.
This is very compact and acts as one lump. No bungies or faffing needed.

IMO a very neat solution.

Talking Yo me too

Hey Fi,

I just received me very own kent tooling reel like your own! Cant wait to give it a try out. My last plastic Beaver ratchet reel's handle came off in mid ascent off the Aurania a couple of weeks ago, leaving me with unavaoidable abuse from my fellow dive compadraes who accused my knob of falling off!

Outrage!!!

New tooling from Kent to fix the situation.

I know Midnight's just gotten a new one from Kent Tooling which is built for the APV Crack Bottle SMB, and is a very, very, tasty bit of kit.

He hangs it off his arse D-ring as well, so it could easily go missing from there without his knowledge
