| That's a big sack, can you not get away with 60-70 litre sack? 100 litres could be rather heavy to carry. |

| For a week away with just clothes etc I use a 45ltr. For this trip, I want to include my weezle and thermals etc and a sleeping bag, so I thought I might as well go for the 100. It might be over the top, to be honest I've not been up close and personal with one, so I just don't know. Juz

| I use a 100L bag to carry all dive kit and wamwater holiday gear....I don't see it as over the top. Unless you mean for camping etc....in which case it would be a lot. If you want a large Northface tarp bag (large holdall with shoulder straps) and are passing Royston, you are welcome to borrow it.

| I have a military surplus Berghaus Vulcan. It's 100L but exceptionally comfortable, very hardwearing and very waterproof. The side pockets are detachable if you want something smaller (I think it's about 80L on its own). They are about £160-200 new but you can pick them up for much less. Mine was £50 and virtually brand new from a surplus shop. It's the best rucksack I've ever had. When it's full, you really don't notice it once it's on, it's taken five years of battering and hasn't any signs of wear.
