| NAS tekkie reel. Cheap and good and small and rather nice. You could get 2 and have enough change for a third. Narked at 60 - Technical Dive Products – Kit that keeps up!

| Don't bother with the Large McMahon. It's an unwieldy thing which is a PITA to store and if you press the ratchet release too hard it locks up! Other than that it's not a bad reel!!!! |

| If you really have a load of money burning a hole in your pocket then get a Manta Reel. They are lovely.

uk.rec.scuba : UK Diver for details Oh and put 100M of line on it as well, sitting in 40M with the line going at about 45 degrees and knowing there is only 50M of line on the reel was never going to be pleasant! Danny |

| Another vote for Kent Tooling especially as John was talking about a version with folding handle to fit in pockets

| Another vote for Manta reels. I have both the senior and junior reels. Rock solid (life time guarantee against breakage of main components I think), line never fouls (if you treat it sensibly i.e. rewind after use). The junior one has 50ish meters, and the senior over a 100m of line. Unless your pocket is pretty big, even the junior won't fit in. Maybe use an out-of-the-way D-ring. |

The whole package is still too bulky. I'm happy to do a midwater release |
