    underwater mp3 player

    I know it can be classed as the ultimate toy but has anyone used the underwater mp3 player tested to 200 ft sold by Iriveramerica ?
    Its not quantity but quality that counts- someone once said on this very site

    Teaqm Kinky have ordered it. It arrived at Blanaids Florida HO yesterday, s we hope to have it for next weeks dive. At teh end of teh day, it's only $40.

    i remeber one being reviewed in dive mag last year sometime, it was about £200 though

    How deep can you go? I have similar on my Ipod Site but the cases have a 3m limit.

    I have the I-river 300 60m rated unit.

    Sound quality in water is pretty rubbish and you cant here it even on max volume with it mounted on your mask strap. Best way is to put the ear phones inside the hood.

    Excellent for talking books etc.

    Too much hassle for short deco but I used it on some shallow dives just for a laugh and it was fun.

    Just make sure you turn the volume down before ascending from 6m. Its bloody defining on the surface.


    There is no CD conversion software so you need to download that from the net. I paid £250 for my one so I am gutted about them flogging them off for $40. Not worth £250 but well worth $40.

    Deepest i took my one was 30m. I mainly clip it to the deco bar and use it on the 6m stop. Its too much of a distraction to use it during ascent. Listening to Physical Graffiti In the Light during a fast drift dive rates as one of my coolest dives ever
