Thumbs up Buddy crack bottle replacement

There was a thread on here not too long ago regarding the cost of buddy self inflating SMB's and whether they were worth the money. Well I think they definitely are, as I have one, however, I got a shock today when I found out the cost of a replacement and service from A.P. Valves - £43!!

My cylinder is showing signs of wear and scuffs etc., but £43 to get the valve serviced and only the bottle replaced is very steep!! Particularly when Go-Dive are selling brand spanky ones for £59.99.

Does anyone know where you can get spare cylinders for these from or a more reasonable place for servicing.

Sadly Go-Dive want £10 to send the damn thing to me.

Alternatively, anyone got a spare they want to part with?

If you contact www.divecellar.com, they also sell them for £59.99 but with more realistic postage. Then sell your old one on ebay. It still works out financially beneficial

Delivery is well worth it, so I think I might make the purchase. As for my old one, I've written my name on it so I guess I'll keep it as a spare!!

Thanks for the tip, never heard of dive cellar before.

You could always try a warranty claim on the old bottle , esp. if its not to old.

I understand that AP Valves are very accommodating

Hmmm...hopeless more like, my bottle went off for a service, came back with a bill but no service and still the same bottle. Something is awry in APD's service dept these days, plenty of posts on RBW.
