Buying Quattro Excels

Can anyone help me? Firstly - that old chestnut -'Where's the cheapest?'...

...and secondly what size do i need? I'm a UK size 8 wetsuit boot but will be buying my first drysuit in the New Year (probably Outer Edge) - and presumably drysuit boots are bigger so I need to take this into account when ordering fins?? All very confusing !

Cheers

Graham

If you're not sure about fit try them - borrow a shop's drysuit if you're not sure. However, if the sizes are the same as the old Mares fins (eg the original X3, Quattro, etc) then XL will fit anything from size 7 upwards without any problem. Not sure if the new ones are sized the same though.

Decathlon are pretty good for prices of the Quattro's and the X3s

I'd wait though until you have the drysuit, you'll know then the size you'll need - I'd guess a large, but try them on with the drysuit and your boots

Thanks Ed, good advice I know but these are at the top of my Xmas list and we're off to Jordan on 23rd Dec.

If you have to buy them soon, go for XL. My large Quattros are fine for wetsuit boots but too small for my DUI Rock Boots so I had to get some XL's as well.

I got a pair of 'excels fo £60 at the show from go dive.
Mine are regular, and fit fine with my size 10 boots (wetsuit and drysuit).

Regular foot pockets on my quattros and size 10 drysuit boots - no problems.

A friend and I both claim to have size 91/2 feet. I prefer X-Large quattros and he prefers large so now we wear each others.

The fit seems to be the same for both wetsuit and drysuit feet.
