| I predict 15 minutes before someone says Kent Tooling for the one to operate with gloves. It might be overkill for what you want to do, but it *is* a very nice reel.

| Yep, they are certainly one of the brands I had in mind, although I can't find much info on their website. S.

| I had a look at the reels at the show at the NEC, including the new one. They sure are nice pieces of kit, albeit way over anything I would be needing certainly at the moment. But if you use one every dive, then they are probably worth the money. There are many owners on here that can vouch better than I can though.

| I agree Kent Tooling make the best , but if your flying I would consider the weight.........albeit Kent are great they are heavy as you go up the range and one of their lighter spools might be a better option. NikNaks do some simple finger reels inc a nice light stainless one ....with a big finger hole which look good for the flight bag,,,,,,or Custom Divers 40/50 metre is well made and light weight. Try any of those out and IMHO you should find something to suit budget and kit bag. db |

| Custom Divers The small CDP50 reel from custom divers is a great bit of kit for holiday use. Reasonably small and light but tough enough to last the baggage handlers at Gatwick. Come with 50m of line and cost in the region of £55 |
