| Cuff dump valve I just stuck a cuff dump valve at the top - trainees fire it off...reel it in and the valve dumps off and down it comes for the next one - easy peasy, lemon squeasy :-)

The milk bottle idea is a good idea, as it allows you to do repeated launches and then haul it back down again. The downside is that you can balls up the deployment and only get a smidgen of air in and still get it up. However i guess you can try with a real SMB for the last deployment. Janos

| And another Handy Hint: when going for the final DSMB launch bit, take a few with you. Send up the first one and assuming it all went smoothly and didn't propel you to the surface, send another couple up the line on a double ender for the practice. You'll end up with a load of inflated blobs at the surface all on the same line. Careful though as Mark Davies will probably send a cylinder of 50% down

| no problem It always leaves enough air in to float nicely - try it, it works a treat.. like your suit, holding your arm up doesn't dump till you have suit squeeze..it just equalises nicely
