| Is it for Single or twins? Indy or manifolded? How do you intend to stow the hose? How big are you? Personally, I use a 7' hose, but then I loop it round my torch canister and the back of my neck and there's quite a lot of me for it to travel round. |

| I found 1.5m too short on a twinset. It pulled the reg in my mouth when I inflated my wing on the surface. I went for 1.85m as I don't loop it under a torch canister or anything else on my waistband. The 1.5m hose ended up on a stage bottle. Jason

| Regardless as to whether you are DIR or not, lopping the hose around your head is IMHO the best option. I have seen other divers (and my buddy this weekend) stowing the hose in some bungy on their Twinset or single. We did some OOO drills during the dive, and it was clumsy and slow to donate the reg and then pull it out of the bungy - it got caught on the wing somewhere. Personally, I think it is a bad idea to stow it that way and I speak from experience as I have tried both ways in anger. Try looping it and stowing in an inland site or pool and see what you think. It certainly makes better use of it.

| Go for a 2m hose and bungee it. Here's how I stow mine. Works a treat. Hoglooping is, IMHO, a PITA. Bloody reg drags all over the place, it unloops itself and gets in the way and is generally horrible. Stuffing it like this down the wing loops makes it hang like a normal reg. Hog loop after deploying. ![]()
