Which CO2 SMB to buy?

Last time I enquired at SDS Watersports they were about £24 each - could never understand why people were buying them on eBay for £30ish plus expensive P&P

I use a yellow Aquatec one as a backup/emergency, and it has given good service so far... i will buy the same again when needed

That's the type, yes. I don't see the need for the yellow one to be massive, as I would be sending up the line of an existing red, so it is more of a signal than a marker buoy, but Lesley does have a point, so I guess it is down to personal preference and how you forsee using it that decides between massive to be seena nd compact ot stow nicely.

Surely diving with graham you won't need the Co2 as he's full of hot air anyway save you money

Before you ask,
It's a delayed using disposable CO2 catridges (a.la aquatec) plus it has a self sealing opening so you can fill it yourself should the CO2 fail. Top that off with a clear pocket welded to the top to take a light stick.

I too have one from Kent Tooling.

I got my yellow emergency one from John. It uses the smaller and easier to get cartridges, and as mentioned above, you can still fill it from a reg or one of those air gun thingys.

For those of you on the mainland, these folks do a good price on the cylinders - they wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount to get them to NI though.

Yes, don't get ones that only inflate vis a CO2 cylinder. Whilst it's not a common thing it has been known for the odd cylinder to be empty! not what you want if you're in the sh*t and trying to send up a yellow blob.
