Bigger Fins for Drysuit Boots?

Hi,

I got my 1st drysuit recently, ordered at the Dive Show in October, from Otter / Divers Warehouse. Great suit, but its a killer getting my fins on (and especially off) now, because the boots are larger than the ones I was wearing with my semi-dry.

I got some Northern Diver fins with spring straps that I really like, but they are apparently the biggest ones available, so looks like I'll have to go another route with this. Obviously the only way I'd know for sure is to take the suit into a dive shop and try fins on...

Anybody got any suggestions? BTW even with the spring strap released (and it is tight) it is very difficult to get the fins off - they are jammed on. Any way of modifying the fins?

Thanks for any suggestions, and Happy New Year - I did my 1st O.W. dive in the new suit yesterday morning and the suit was great - just shame about the fins!

Rich

Before your turtle fins arrive try coating the inside of the foot pocket with a squirt of furniture polish. Makes them slippery.

What Garf said. Went to about 4 different dive shops and the only fins i could get to fit were Turtle fins, serves me right for having size 13 feet tho!!

Thanks guys - I'll certainly try lubing the fin pockets 1st, good suggestion!

If not, I'll google 'Turtle Fins' - I've not come across these before...

Oh, and BTW Woz suggested looking at the Otter stand at the Dive Show in October, and they were really helpful & did me a good deal for a MTM suit.

Cheers,
