What I done was to take some bicycle light handle bar clamps and using small brass nuts and bolts, fixed them to the helmet. I can angle my lights up - down - left or right as I wish for perfect illumination. The white chin strap is actually velcro. The velcro is actually drilled through too and with the bike clamp brass bolts going through onto the helmet as can be seen, the whole thing is solid and secure. A loop of rubber at the rear of the helmet is used to tie up all the lanyards in a tidy fashion. http://www.yorkshire-divers.com/foru...2&d=1167782383 http://www.yorkshire-divers.com/foru...4&d=1167782383 Last edited by freshwaterdiver : 03-01-07 at 01:25 AM. |

| At the dive show a few years ago (it was LIDS, tek dive if that helps your search) there was a foreign guy did a presentation on a helmet he was developing. Basically it was like a clamshell design which your regulator fitted into a port on the side. It then connected to your drysuit seal and had been used on test dives as far as i can remember. All throughout it i couldnt help thinking "what if i farted" but no matter. A good google or possibly an email to Louise Trewavas of dive girl may well help track this down to see if anything came of it.
