Bursting CO2 SMB's?

So after the last thread, I've been a puchased a red (back-up) and a yellow (emergency) Aquatec CO2 SMBs

I've stencilled my name on (the same as on previous SMB's) and read the instructions on use & care

This got me thinking, as theres no over inflation valve, what stops the SMB from bursting if its too full???

I guess it has a max depth of deployment based on volume of gas in CO2 cylinder. Sent one up from about 36m & it didn't burst...

Does depth matter? Can't be bothered to figure it out. There is a fixed amount of CO2.

I guess the size of the CO2 cartriges have been matched to the volume of the DSMB.

but that CO2 will expand a different amount depending upon depth of deployment

send it up from 100m, if it doesn't burst then sending it up from 10m would suggest it'll be very limp?

No, it is a constant mass of CO2 in the little cannister. It is at high pressure i the cannister, and will just fill the SMB at atmospheric. At any point in between it will fill the blob proportionally less, but still expand to fill it entierly on the surface, which is always at atmosphere.

Incorrect. There is a limited amount of CO2 in the cartrige and that will not change even at depth.

full at the top , not so full at depth

Won't it by limp at 100m & fully erect at 10m???? Bag is a fixed/sealed volume.
