Hi Jim...You put the latex on your skin next to the drysuit wrist seal , butt them up next to each other ...so you can't see any skin between. They sit next to each other. Then roll the glove on over the seal so that the glove covers the seal. Don't be tempted to squeeze any air out if your doing 36m...They compress lots and you'll cut your circulation off.
I've used mine a few times..and they aren't very good till about 10m then you feel like you'll be wearing standard gloves after that. I think mine are great..toasty and dry.

Having read Woz's experiments I guess you could do either and it would work! The important thing would be to make sure the gloves can equalise. If you're wearing thinsulate gloves under your drygloves then make sure there's a bit of thinsulate sticking out from under the seal and then you ought to be able to put your drysuit on over the top and be ok.

Alternatively put your thinsulate gloves on, then your drysuit making sure the thinsulate is under the cuff seals and gives an air path from the suit to your hands. Then put your drygloves on top.

In either case the important thing is that both seals are flat on top of each other. Get any ridges or wrinkles and water will seep into your suit.

That's one way - personally I just wear the latex seal types (without any under-gloves) and just make sure the seal on the glove is over the drysuit cuff seal with no ridges or wrinkles. Works a treat. A bit of 5mm bungee under the suit seal allows the gloves to equalise nicely.

There's a knack to putting them on this way, but once you've got it sorted they're no bother at all

Put drysuit on as normal with the wrist seal on top of the rubber glove. Then finished the whole lot off with a thin neoprene glove to offer some protection to the rubber.

I had the above setup on my left hand and a Poseidon 5mm cold water glove on the other so I could compare.

Guess which hand was warm and dry and toasty? The best £1.29 ever spent on dive kit.

So- questions I know I am going to be asked:
  1. Equalising. The underglove comes back on my wrist past the seal so they equalised with air percolating through the fleecy fabric
  2. Dexterity. About the same as 5mm glove
  3. Donning. Need talc as you have rubber on rubber sliding (steady on, Finless)
  4. Kitting up. Well imagine kitting up in 5mm dry gloves and they are about the same. You can leave the neoprene gloves off until afterwards if you like to add some dexterity. I needed help with my neck seal although a bit of practice might nail that
  5. Doffing. A bit of a pain but no worse than other dry gloves
All in all, an astounding success. For £1.29 I had warm, dry hands. See you all in Sainsburys tomorrow. The keys to choosing the right rubber gloves are:
  • Tight wrist. Ones with a baggy wrist will cause creases and channelling.
  • Smooth rubber outer. Obvious really. A textured palm is ok but the wrist has to be smooth.
  • Some sort of "toughness". Marigolds would work fine but the Sainsbury's tough ones (blue with a green wrist) were about spot-on. You may want to trim off the green bit, actually, as the seal is made on the blue bit (but this may vary with your suit)
did anyone perservere with this madness? long term user report?

They worked really well. A complete bastard to get off, though.

Oooo found them. Sainsburys Tough Gloves.

£1.69 a pair. They've gone up!

well, you'll have to ask the boss for a 31% pay increase and use these as an example of the "cost of living" rise

When you take into account the new market that you have opened up for them and the chinese rush for oil you have to

a) accept that the price will go up
b) that you are the cause of the price increase at the fuel pumps because so many divers are now using oil based washing up gloves.
c) you won't be able to drive that Dodge Viper (or whatever) you were toying with buying due to fuel shortages (see b))

Does the dry glove system system still have bubbles after washing all those dishes or was it a Flash experience? there is a better pun for this I am sure but I can't think of it just now. Someone else will no doubt.
