" Yeah but I also said at the time it was to get a big massive barney going on the dark side LOL. 2tugs, sorry but Dave is first in the queue for the twins |

Imported post I have a pair of Jet Fins made by Typhoon they are a copy of the Scubapros. They are a bit heavier compaired to my Powa Planas, can't say that i've noticed a great deal of difference in propulsion though, mine have standard straps nothing fancy. One thing I would say is my power planas are now looking a bit tatty, with brown marks from various wreckage. The jet fins seem to survive a bit better not much you can scuff with black. US Diver do or did a jet fin.

Imported post I know this post is a couple of weeks old but I'll stick in my 2p's worth. Until I got my JetFins (with springs) I was using excellerating force fins which are supposed to be designed for frog kickers. The difference is staggering. I really fly with the jets. Much faster and I don't look like a twat. There are those frog fins which are also supposed to be good, particularly if you have overly large feet. I also understand that Oceanic make decent spring straps but I'm not sure where you would be able to find them. HTH

Imported post Its years since Oceanic stopped spring manufacture, its either Halcyon, Manta, or I also manufacture them, On the subject of jets, they are all pretty similar, but the big footed guys, or booted need not despair, the large fins are called turtles, which is what I use, superb for frog kick, and if you really need to move dolphin kick. Back to the original question: For numerous years I used and swore by my Avanti Quatro's, then was convinced to try a pair of split fins which are good, then a few years back when I started making the spring straps I got some jetfins, basically to use as a photo model with straps on, thought I would try these old fashioned fins for a laugh, and have never used anything else since then, they are easier to propel, give you loads more thrust regardless of your finning style, your grandchildren will be able to use them, (they are built to last), and no bugger will nick them, cos they are not the latest gimmick on the market.

Imported post DALESDIVER is right the fins for the larger foot are 'turtle' fins not frog as I previously said. My mistake.
