You could cauterise the cut edges,it certainly would'nt do any harm, don't drop the hot nail though,or you'll be patching up forever!
You could buy a dinghy repair kit or similar if you need a patch, just make sure the material's robust enough.
Keeping the cuff dump would indeed negate the need tocut another hole.Personally I'd rather shove wasps up my rectum than keep the cuff dump but maybe that's what floats my boat:shocked:

Lou suggested I contact DiversWharehouse, they have quoted £30 to remove and patch the cuff-dump and fit the shoulder dump, including VAT and return carriage. Seems like a good deal to me, by the time I cough up for the glue and patches and sod it up, get a thump off the lad and the misses for freezing her boy again I would be quids in. Not sure about turn-round time but he's not plunging again for a short while anyway. While he's on an extended SI I might 'have' to get a fix. ;-)

A new adhesive to me, is that what they use to manufacture the suits? how expensive is it? ie in comparison to 100g tube stormsure for about £3 ?

i think you can get a tin of it for around £10, it is more expensive than 'stormsure', but it is the right thing to use.
BTW 2402 is only bostiks name for it, evostik make something as well and beaver supply a two part as well. If you look after your tin it will last for ages.

£30 Matt !!!

I would pay it and be done with it, like you say by the time you get all the bits you need, the punch off the wife, the piss taking off this site and the £500 you will end up forking out for a new suit, £30 seems very reasonable.

I've had to buy the valve on top of that (the cheque IS in the post, assuming Mrs B has posted it today). Bargain £30 thats why I posted it, so any of you lot can get the same good deal. Cheers Lou, top bit of advice.

I'm thinking of putting a shoulder dump/autodump in - anyone actually done it? I currently have a weird arrangement which means the autodump ends up right over my left armpit. Works OK, but only if I do an Adolf, by which time my position has become more vertical than horizontal...

Does anyone have any positive comments on shoulder placement, or does it snag?
Could the old one be left where it is?
Auto-dump, or toggle?(!)

Presumably one of the Cloggies at the Procean factory. The suit is quite loose at that point, hence the odd position.

Those bastards at the Post Office want £18 to send the suit to Bradford. How comes D/wharehouse are going to repair and return for £30 when it costs £18 to send the poxy thing. Looks like DIY might rule again, no wonder firms are going bust when you cant get your stuff to them for a reasonable price, this is senseless.
