| Imported post <font color='#000080'>I'm considering adding a 3l pony to my dive kit. As me and the boss use already use Apeks regs, was thinking of getting a TX40 for it. A few questions (other than "can I afford it!" 1. Any problems with this setup? 2. How should I carry it (Saw a piccie in the YD Gallery of somebody with it side slung, how is this achieved and any probs with it?) 3. Alternative carry methods? The type of diving that I'll be doing for the forseeable future will NOT involve deep, deco etc. so am not currently interested in the "Get a pony... No, make it a twinset" view... Thanks abucksdiver |

| Imported post <font color='#0000FF'>I think you'll find that a pony with a TX40 (or similar) is pretty common so no probs with that setup. IME most folk attach it to their main cylinder via simple (but annoying straps) or the cooler metal slide on adaptor system (hasn't Dr Paul T got one for sale?) I've only seen folk with a twin-set side sling their pony/stage bottle, (except perhaps for the Gavster) but I can't see a problem with doing that if you're carrying a single. I always disliked the off-balance feeling with the pony attached to the main tank, slung diagonally across your front might help this problem. HTH Steve |

| <font color='#000080'>Thanks, Steve, I can't remember who was inteh photo in the gallery, but I can't get to it again, as that part of the YD site is under reconstruction. However, I remember the pony being clipped under the left arm... abucksdiver |

| Imported post Twas I and Caroline, I believe! And Steve W saw us wearing that set-up only a week and a bit ago....he must have been more focussed on the hot tea that was getting passed round at that point. PM me if you want more details and can't find them on the previous thread.
