Bird!

Stop smiling underwater - it's the laughter lines that water leaks in through

Failing that - the Cressi Big Eye that H suggested (although I managed to break two of them ) or the Mares X Vision - old version, or with the new soft skirt are worth a go. (We have similar shaped faces I think)

Of course they don't come with black scary skirt, but you do end up looking like Dame Edna Everage

I like little black skirts too ................... although white ones are even better.

You can get black old-style X-Visions from my local Decathlon. I nearly bought one before realising that my clear one is perfectly good and I would just be being a Tart.

I think it's more a grimace of terror than a smile.

I googled the Cressi Big Eye and it does come with a black skirt, so that might just be the way forward

You say it is leaking near the nose....

I have had this with a mask in the past, try trimming the skirt back a bit, making it closer to your face/ further from your top lip. This means you will not be moving the mask about as much when you have the reg in your gob.

This is worth a try before going and buying another mask...

It does a bit.

I found one site that had a black mask, but most only have the clear ones. I'll see if Aquanuats can order me a black one.

What PBrown said about the regulator, but a mouthpiece alone will do.

What PBrown said about the secondary seal, but I don't think it's too important, if the overall fit is excellent.

For THE FIT. With mouthpiece in, lean over so you're facing down and gently offer the mask up to your face, keeping hair out of the way. Press it up to your face, but very gently. Don't breathe in or out. The mask that FITS will stick onto your head until you breathe out through your nose.

Sunscreen. As soon as I put any on my face my sodding mask leaks like a old Typhoon drysuit. I now use P20 which I apply well before diving, and a hat. I look like a knob, but I doon't get burnt and my mask doesn't fill with water all the time.

Hood. Does it interfere with your mask's seal?

Snorkel? No, silly question, sorry.

Regards,

Mark
