If you have high cheekbones and a heartshaped/ round face.
If you smile lots under water ( like me!) these stay put...

This just occurred to me earlier today whilst daydreaming at work. I noticed at one point during the dive yesterday that I had a sudden flush of water around the nose.

I looked at my buddy and realised the face shape around the lips and nose changes quite a lot when a reg is in the mouth, so trying a mask with a reg (or snorkel) as Paul suggests is probably better than without...

Of course, you could always try a good bead of silicon sealant around the mask skirt before putting it on. No water will get in but it would be a b*tch to get off again!

Please note: The above is meant in jest and I will take no responsibility for masks being permanently glued to divers faces!

Hi I'm fairly new to this and have had the same problem. I acquired a Cressi Big eye mask and that seems to have done the trick!
