Whats the best rope/cord

For making up stage/pony rigging?

Can you use Purlon Para cord (stuff the Paras use)

Not nylon. It's hygroscopic. Polypropylene is better. You can get all sorts of different weaves (not the blue builders rope stuff).

If you're desperate I can lop you off a couple of meters from a reel I have if you lob something in your local RNLI box.

DIR-diver.com - Stagebottle rigging

I used it on my 7L & it works well enough, bought the "rope" from Great Mills, think it was 6mm poly, but they have quite a good selection.

Just follow the instructions on the link. If it works for you, PayPal them a few pence to help keep them in black !

I use 25mm webbing and sew it with high strain monofilament - just to throw another idea into the pot.
