To appease all parties, simply get your welding friend to tack open your existing galv folder! ridgid grapnel with minimal variance to design spec!

That's not quite how it works . . . the spikes on the grapnel can be bent.

So, if it's really stuck, you give it a good yank, the stuck spike bends, and the grapnel is free.

You just bend it back into shape for next time.
