| You get someone to weld one up for you from some galvanised pipe and galvanised mild steel rod. Costs bu99er all and not the end of the world if you lose it. |
| ||||
| Depends if this "someone" is a mate with a welding set or an engineering business.

| For a cheap expendable grapnal; Take a 2' length of scaffold tube. Drill one end to attach the rope / warp to. In the other end drill 2 holes through the tube at 90 deg. to each other. Then buy 2 lengths of M12 or M10 threaded bar from your local builders merchant, plus 8 nuts. Thread the bar through the holes half way and secure with 2 nuts at each side. The flukes can then be bent inwards to give a better hold. This anchor costs just a few quick to make, requires no welding and is expendable. If you do insist on a foldinf grapnel, any boat chandlers will supply them. Or just do a web search. Hope that helps. PM me if you want any further info. Adam |
