Force fin tryout

Can anyone help?

Just wondered if anyone would be willing to, or knows anyone who could lend me a pair of Force Fins for next weekend (or the weekend after that etc..)

I'm keen to try a pair before I trolley the money to maybe find out I don't like them as they seem to be the 'marmite' of the fin world !

Happy to send / hand over some dosh, house keys, wife etc... so you don't have to worry about me finning off with them !!!

Would need a size to suit O'3 drysuit boots - so probably XXL so I'm told ?!

Can collect /return in the South East or post back to anywhere someone is kind enough to assist (all costs covered)

Maybe a long shot - but thought I'd try

Cheers

Graham

If you can get to Leeds which i doubt then you can borrow mine. However i must tell you that after one weekend you will not like them.Me and my mate reckon 10-12 dives before you start to enjoy.
cheers
Mark

Thanks for the offers guys. Bit far to Leeds (!) but thanks for the offer and don't think the XL's would fit my O3 drysuit boots Nigel , but again my thanks.

You do need more than a weekend. A lot of people have one/two dives and judge them on that. I borrowed someones for about 3 months before I got mine (she wasn't diving at all at the time!). After the first couple of days, I wondered what the fuss was about, but after about 20 dives, i was hooked.

Mine are XL, so probably too small, and in a rather fetching shade of red, TBH, I doubt i would want to part with them for long enough to persuade you they are the dog's danglies

I've got a pair of XXL's you can try, I'm probably at Stoney next saturday and won't need them until the 29th feb as I'm diving off Neptune out of Dover.

Personally I'd get a pair from here https://www.apnea.co.uk/index.php?ma...09c09fef5324b5 and e-bay them if you don't like them

Safe diving,
Steve

Hello matey,

Marmite yes indeed, although everybody that I know who use them think they be the bollox! Even the boss has just got a pair, you know the super gucci ones with the spoiller ala pimp my force fin. However would have to agree with those that have mentioned it before after 2 dives in a muddy puddle you really won't beable to say YES or NO.
Before you ask no I ain't got a pair that you can try, me Sentinel broke the bank.

all I can add is they are the dogs as far as I am concerned I have used them for the past 12 yrs or so and as said takes a little to get used to less if you use split fins but still I have the used standard ones and the fancy ones with the whiskers and have used them for the past 5 yrs, good fins

I have just started to use the pro-force fins (the fancy ones with the whiskers ) and coming from Tusa split fins they took a bit to get use to them.
they feel now like i have more control over the split fins and are a lot easier to walk in than the tusa splits because the tips arch up as opposed to the tusa's which arch down and catch in everything.
only problem now is i have floaty feet which i hate because they are lighter than the tusa's and the lower calf on the dry suit is to big, so may have to go the gaiter route as i don't like ankle weights.

so if your down this way (ndac) if you want to try force fins and pro force fins then you can try both as Ash has the force fins

HTH

Dave.
