I buy my bolt snaps from a guy on ebay. Without opening my account up to check I think his shop is called "Stainless Direct" or something like that. Search for stainless bolt snaps and he comes up, sells all sorts of stainless marine/chandlery stuff. I bought some 76mm & 86mm ones from him also at the beginning of the year, but on the 76mm ones (for small items like SPG, back up torch etc) the springs all started rusting up after half a dozen dives .

He did replace them FOC for more 86mm ones (at my request as these were fine) however the batch they have come from are of questionable quality - the piston on 1 sticks really bad, 2 have a pretty rough sliding action, with the remaining 2 perfect.

Get some proper snaps from Nackers or Kent Tooling. The springs on cheaper ones are crappy low grade cutlery stainless when then need to be ideally inconel which puts the price up.

None of mine or KT or Nackers rust. But they're another quid or two.

Oh and a little tip- get a syringe and pop some vegetable oil into it. Then use the needle to stick a drop down the slider of your triggers. Hey presto! Silky smooth.
