The only reason I have the compressor is that they belong to our club . If I want to go to an lds then it's Tonbridge which on a good day is an hour each way plus filling time . If I lost the club compressor then I would join the other club in Hastings just for the air fills ,I couldn't justify having my own compressor .
I am lucky as I house the club compressor & the O2 & have a 300bar J of He as well ! Oh I had to buy my own booster pump though

Roy,

I only have a little bauer junior compressor. It takes about 40 minutes to fill up my 12's IIRC.....It's not on all the time, so the neighbours don't complain. Well, at least i can never hear them complain, and mine is all done in the shed!

Sounds like our petrol one ,20 minutes per 12l lovely compressor ,cost the club £1000 plus £100 shipping from Sweden . Passes Nx standard air tests with out any extra filters

Sounds like the same, although mines the electric version and was the same price but i bought local-ish. I use a personal filter as well, but no idea about purity tests!

I would defo go for electric it does not stink more clean only problem is if neighbours start a campaign i will have to move to garage with no power.I would like to ask them maybe i should ask them with some reverse psychology like. e.g I say to the neighbour why do you keep complaining about me making a nosie. they reply i dont ever complain then i get the compressor

To be honest, it's not that much nosier than an old lawn mower. I could understand if it was on all the time, but an hour here or there surely can't make a lot of difference?

Roy have a word with John Perrins about his set up, he may stilll have it soundproofed, it certainly was in his old house where he had it in the garage and you could hardly hear it.

It does not take much to do, few bits from B&Q

Thanks paul may just do that i could put it in bricked area at the back of my house but the hoses would need to be 4 meters long guess you can get hoses that long. The supply to cooker 60amp 12 meters then extra 8 meters to the compressor i think cooker wire is 10mm

You can get stainless steel piping then put the whips on the end of that ,so you can get the air to anywhere you want . The only caveat is that you need to be able to get to the compressor reasonably quickly to turn it off ! Although if you use an electric one you could mount the switch beside your filling point .
When I asked our electrician for wiring up our electric one I had to use 6mm cooker wire over a run of 17 metres & thats on a 7kw motor .
